About Us

Loving Healing Press Inc. was founded in 2003 with a mission of "Producing books about innovative and rapid therapies which redefine what is possible for healing mind and spirt." Our books address highly specific areas of trauma recovery, physical disabilities, and personal growth.

Explorations in Metapsychology series features books about Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) and other aspects of Applied Metapscyhology. TIR was recently listed in the National Registry of Evidence Based Practices (NREPP) by the SAMHSA department of the US Government. It has been demonstrated effective with symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as anxiety, depression, and panic disorder.

Growing With Love series adresses what is possible for healing young minds and spirits, focusing on children in specific age groups from toddlers to teenagers on issues ranging including anxiety, special needs, spirituality, sexual abuse recovery, and understanding disabilities.

Recovering The Self: A Journal of Hope and Healing in each issue addresses specific themes related to topics such as addiction, abuse recovery, grief, relationships, aging and eldercare, parenting, and health through the lenses of essay, poetry, fiction, and book excerpts.

Other Imprints

Loving Healing Press includes a family of imprints as well: Rocky Mountain Region Disaster Mental Health Institute Press, Modern History Press, Marvelous Spirit Press, and Glamour Girls Books. We encourage you to explore all of these.

Rocky Mountain Region Disaster Mental Health Institute Press started by publishing the Proceedings of the annual conferences held in Wyoming each year and expanded to provide a variety of strategic and tactical approaches to disaster and mental health issues in both man-made (war, terrorism) and natural (hurricane, tsunami, pandemic) crises.

Modern History Press is LHP's largest and fastest growing imprint. Their mission is "telling empowering stories of life and the struggle for identity in modern times". As such, MHP covers social justice issues, personal memoirs, multicultural stories, and addiction recovery stories in the form of prose, poetry, and anthologies. MHP also includes incisive literary criticism that helps us understand how we got where we are today.
